The modular body connection system
The modular designs currently used in vehicle construction are platform-based derivatives in space-frame technology. At PLUCC, individual components or assemblies can be combined with each other using the patented quick-connect system and therefore do not represent a rigid body system.
PLUCC is not a classic body platform, but individual components from an assembly, such as a front-end carrier or a floor assembly, are combined in order to be able to generate a smaller, larger, narrower or wider vehicle.
The interchangeable components are connected with an identical locking part (PLUCC connection).
In addition to the generally increased flexibility, the connection system also offers significant economic advantages in the event of repairs in comparison to the space frame technology as well as when installing or converting different drive concepts
